Bharat Jodo Yatra resumes from Khel Sankul in Rajasthan’s Jhalawar
JHALAWAR: On Tuesday, the Bharat Jodo Yatra of the Congress party resumed from Khel Sankul in Jhalawar, Rajasthan.
Earlier on Sunday night, a video of the spontaneous dance performance went viral on social media, showing Rahul, Gehlot, and Pilot dancing on stage while holding hands with folk musicians.
Rahul afterwards made his traditional jab at the BJP and RSS during a speech at the Jhalawar event, claiming that the Congress is a party of Mahatma Gandhi and not of (VR) Savarkar or (Nathuram) Godse.
Not Savarkar’s or Godse’s party, this is Mahatma Gandhi’s. Rahul stated, “We know how to work hard.
Before the Congress’ continuing nationwide foot march made it to Rajasthan earlier on Sunday, there was a poster battle between Gehlot and Pilot backers. This came about after the CM’s supporters attempted to remove Pilot’s posters from the Jhalawar neighbourhood.
The incident happened on Saturday, only days after KC Venugopal, the party’s national general secretary, met with the two leaders, who had previously had disagreements.
Gehlot and Pilot were spotted shaking hands during the ensuing news conference as the party attempted to show togetherness despite the ongoing political conflict. The party, according to Venugopal, was unified in Rajasthan.
The news conference was held shortly after Gehlot described Pilot as a “traitor” who would never succeed as chief minister of Rajasthan in an interview with a television network.
Later, the former deputy chief minister of Rajasthan retaliated against Gehlot, branding his claims as “baseless.”
Pilot published a video on December 3 urging people to join the yatra when it enters the state.
