Priya Rajan (born 20 November 1993) is the thirty-ninth and outgoing mayor of Chennai city of Tamil Nadu. She replaced Saidai Duraisamy of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, and became the third woman mayor of the city after the introduction of local body elections. She is the youngest woman to become the Mayor of Chennai. She is a member of DMK party.
Priya Rajan was elected as councilor from the 75th ward in Thiru. V.I. City of Chennai Corporation. She was later elected the 49th Mayor of Chennai in 2022.
Mayor Priya obtained her master’s degree in commerce from Kanyaga Parameshwari Mahila Kala Mahavidyalaya. She is the granddaughter of former two-time MLA from Perambur constituency Chennai Shivam.
